Synthetic CPTs
Rapid generation of synthetic CPTs from available seismic data, to better understand geotechnical variability and provide input directly to engineering analyses.
Extraction of synthetic CPT data allows for subtle geotechnical variations, that are often not captured in traditional ground model methodologies, to be identified and factored into engineering assessments at an early stage of a project.
During FEED and detailed design, the tool can provide input to precise engineering analyses at individual foundation locations, allowing for site investigation cost savings and project schedule acceleration, particularly for multi-anchor floating concepts.

Synthetic CPTs, derived from seismic data, offer a rapid and cost-effective appraisal of hyper-local geotechnical conditions, that can provide direct inputs to engineering assessments and reduce geotechnical site investigation expenditure.
Geo-4D has developed an in-house synthetic CPT tool, based on an artificial intelligence methodology that has been pre-trained on a variety of ultra-high-resolution seismic datasets. Processed seismic data is loaded into the tool, and a neural network analysis is conducted to extract cone resistance and sleeve friction values at any location along seismic profiles. The resulting synthetic CPT data can then be hosted within a GIS software for easy data viewing and interrogation.
